About this photograph:
Another take from Ibirapuera Park, here depicting a piece of architecture: the Ciccilo Matarazzo Pavilion.

An Oscar Niemeyer´s project (as almost all buildings in the park), it was built for and still shelters the Biennial Art Exhibition since 1957. The three-storey building provides an exhibition space of 30,000 sqm.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

With only the two silhouettes of people it looks somehow abandoned and somehow not, Isabel. Sometimes I ask myself if these buildings for exhibitions ar not too much exhibition itself, with all the lines and structures..
I like the good light management and the two silhouettes are absolutely necessary I think.

You´re absolutely right when you say the building is an exhibition in itself. Calatrava does in Europe what Niemeyer did here and I can tell you: he took into account the photogenic potential of the buildings he designed. The feeling of freedom in thos enormous empty spaces is fantastic anyway!
That day I went to the Biennial building, it was a workday (yeeeaaahhhh, I killed work to go to the park ;)) and it was not thaaaat crowded. During weekends it´s almost impossible to shoot.
Thanks for stopping by.
A great week to you.

Hi Isabel
A wonderful graphic shot that is full of shapes and curves. I don't know how long you waited but you caught these two gentlemen just right as they seem to counterbalance one another.

Hello Isabelle,
Very nice composition composed of architectural elements. Very good work here for a light and delicate shades of building excellent graphic effects.
Economical color directs our attention to the intersecting arcs and lines staff.
It's really a very good job.

Jurek
